For Garry, the acquisition of his English Honours Degree from Simon Fraser University
has been a lengthy and passionately obsessive process. He has meticulously interrogated
the underbelly of our mother tongue and has cultivated each creative critique after multiple
parsings into smoldering heaps of raw textuality.

Two books of his poetry have been published and his first collection of stories/novella
is currently available from Talonbooks and local booksellers. He has received an Emerging
Literary Artist Award from the City of Vancouver and two of his manuscripts were selected
as runner-up for the Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry.
